Army flags off educational tour

An educational and motivational tour was flagged off by army on Friday in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.An army spokesman said the contingent comprised of 24 students and 2 teachers from Guru Nanak Dev Model High School, Baramulla was flagged off for a 14 day tour by army’s 46 Rashtriya Rifles (RR).“The students will be taken to Delhi and Agra where they will visit places of interest like historical monuments, industries and educational institutions. The parents and teachers expressed their gratitude to the Army for its initiative and requested for many such visits to be conducted in the future,” the spokesman said, adding: “the trip is aimed to provide exposure to the youth to the rest of the country, so that they are motivated, prosper and become honourable citizen of the country”.
