GOVT ITI, Rupnagar today signed MoU with CLAAS INDIA Pvt LTD in presence of ACS, TE&IT Ms Seema Jain, Director, Technical Education & Industrial Training Mr. DPS Kharbanda and Managing Director Mr. Sriram Kannan.

Giving further details, Principal ITI Mr. Parvinder Singh Sidhu said that CLAAS INDIA PVT. LTD will certainly helpful for strengthening and up gradation of ITI, Ropar under the visionary guidance of Technical Education Minister Mr. Harjot Singh Bains, the department is committed to uplifting the standard of technical education across Punjab, as well.

He said that this historic initiative will help trainees of Govt. ITI, Rupnagar in sharpening of skills, promote self-entrepreneurship and will enhance the opportunities of better employability.

Mr. Sidhu said that CLAAS INDIA is a wholly owned subsidiary of CLAAS group of Germany which is headquartered at Harsewinkel in Westfalia province. Since inception in 1991, CLAAS india is manufacturing combine harvesters suitable for local harvest conditions. 

CLAAS INDIA will take initiatives to establish Harvesting Combine Workshop, equipment, Computer Lab, Placement Lab, introduce Smart Classrooms, install RO systems, equip civil infrastructure and placement of skilled trainers.
