As announced earlier, Jubilee, an upcoming series by Vikramaditya Motwane which was slated to release on Amazon Prime Video has now got its release date. Prime Video shared an announcement video featuring the casts and the release date of the series on YouTube.
Speaking about the video shared, it features Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sidhant Gupta, Nandish Sandhu, and Ram Kapoor in the lead cast. The video shared a glimpse of each of their characters from the series with a catchy song playing in the background. The series is all set to premiere on 7 April 2023 on Prime Video.

The series ‘Jubilee’ is set against the backdrop of the golden age of Indian cinema in which the stories and dreams of the characters will be shown that gave birth to Bollywood. According to the official synopsis, “ ‘Jubilee’ is a thrilling yet poetic tale woven around an ensemble of characters and the gambles they’re willing to take, in pursuit of their dreams, passion, ambition and love.”

The director spoke about the series and said, “While the series is set in that celebrated era of cinema, at its core, Jubilee is a very human story, with narrative themes that will resonate with everyone – which is what drew me to the story in the first place.” “We’ve painstakingly researched each aspect of the series to remain true to its era. It’s been the most incredible journey made with the support of a terrific studio, with some of the most amazing actors, and with the best possible crew ever. Every day on this series has been a delight and I cannot wait for the world to see the work that we’ve all done,” he further added.
‘Jubilee’ will have 10 episodes that will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 7 April 2023. It is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and he co-created it with Soumik Sen. The series is produced by Andolan Films in association with Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Studios.
