Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Flags off Vehicles for Distribution of Educational Equipments under Aspirational District Programme

With an aim to  equip Government schools with latest technology and improving teaching-learning experience especially in far flung areas of the district, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today said that the district administration is committed to establish smart class rooms for Kindergarten and other schools which will be provided with smart boards, ICD Tools and furniture under Aspirational District Programme. 

The Deputy Commissioner said this while presiding a function at Government Boys High School Deewanbagh. During the programme,  the DC flagged off vehicles for distribution of Vending machines, Smart boards & Tabs Electronic gadgets to Kinder Gartens & other schools of Baramulla under Aspirational District Programme.

On the occasion,  the Deputy Commissioner  informed that administration’s constant endeavour to equip, upgrade and modernise Government schools is aimed at providing outcome-based quality education and instilling community ownership of educational institutions. 

With regard to adopting hygienic practices for girls in schools, the DC said that  the Vending and Automatic Sanitary Incinerator Machines have already been inaugurated in schools which will help in spreading awareness on the benefits of adopting hygienic practices and overcoming problems of availability and affordability of sanitary napkins for the girl students. 

Moreover, the DC remarked  that the initiatives are being taken to saturate all schools across the district with the same facilities in a phased manner under Aspirational District Programme.
