A candle light march was held in Padgampora village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday evening in memory of martyred army solider, Sepoy Pawan Kumar.

Dozens of residents participated in the candle light march carried out through the streets of the village and they were chanting slogans “Hindustan Zindabad and Pawan Kumar Amar Rahi”. 

Sepoy Pawan Kumar of 55 Rashtriya Rifles was killed in an encounter which took place in Padgampora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama on previous Tuesday.

Two militants  Aqib Mushtaq Bhat and Aijaz Ahmad Bhat were neutralised in the encounter.Police said that they were involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandit, Sanjay Sharma, at Achan village of Pulwama.
