Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today administered the oath of office and Secrecy to 21 MLAs as Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPSs) at Chappar Chirri.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Punjab Chief Minister’s office said that amongst 21 MLAs sworn in as CPSs, 17 were from Shiromani Akali Dal and 4 from BJP.  The newly appointed CPSs who took oath in an impressive ceremony here at legendary Sikh warrior Baba Bandha Singh Bahadur War Memorial included Balbir Singh Ghunnas, Ch Nand Lal, Mr. Sohan Singh Thandal, Desraj Dhugga, Mantar Singh Brar, Harmeet Singh Sandhu, Mohinder Kaur Josh, Avinash Chander, Inderbir Singh Bolaria, Gurbachan Singh Babehali, Virsa Singh Valtoha, Amarpal Singh Bonny, Pawan Kumar Teenu, Parkash Chand Garg,Sarup Singla, N.K Sharma, Nisara Khatoon (all SAD MLAs) besides K.D Bhandari , Amarjit Singh Sahi, Som Parkash and  Navjot Kaur Sidhu (all BJP MLAs).  

Chief Secretary Rakesh Singh conducted the proceedings of the Swearing-in-ceremony of newly appointed CPSs. Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, Bhagat Chunni Lal, Adesh Partap Singh Kairon,Madan Mohan Mittal, Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Jathedar Tota Singh, Surjit Kumar Jyani, Bikram Singh Majithia, Sikandar Singh Malooka, Anil Joshi and Sharanjit Singh Dhillon (all Cabinet Ministers), MP Rajya Sabha Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, MP from Amritsar Navjot Singh Sidhu, MP from Khadoor Sahib Dr. Rattan Singh Ajnala, President BJP Punjab Unit Ashwani Sharma and Secretary SAD and MLA Ropar Dr. Daljeet Singh Cheema  besides the officers, party leaders, workers of SAD-BJP. The newly appointed CPSs were accompanied by their family members, friends and supporters.
