Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur wife of Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan, Information and Public Relations Minister Aman Arora and President Dental Council of India Dr. Dibyendu Majumdar awarded prizes and degrees to as many as 250 students including graduates and post graduates and wished them for a better future.

On this occasion, the Health Minister called upon the students to always be dedicated as doctors, speak with love and respect to patients, have deep knowledge about the subject, be available and dedicated to public service. 

He said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, major improvements are being made in the field of health and education in the state. He said that the Punjab government has taken concrete steps towards this direction as posting 8 specialist doctors in each community health center including a dental surgeon. 

He said that the Punjab government is fully committed to raise the standard of living of every section and provide the best services in the field of health.Cabinet Minister Aman Arora thanked all the personalities and said that there were many challenges in the 25 years of the establishment of the college, but they worked in a systematic and cooperative manner and as a result the students from this college are giving excellent services across the world today. 

He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the people of the state will soon see revolutionary changes in the fields of education and health.He told that his father Bhagwan Das Arora, former cabinet minister of Punjab, has set up this institute in June 1996 along with Dr. Vikram Sharma and Ashok Kumar Bansal and today it has grown as a big tree which is giving fruits to thousands.

He said that the college started with Bachelor of Dental Surgery course and now it has touched the milestone of 17 seats in MDS courses. He said that a multispeciality general hospital and Bhagwan Das Arora Memorial Hospital in memory of the founder chairman Bhagwan Das Arora are providing state of the art health care facilities to the needy rural population of Sunam and surrounding areas. 

He said that Guru Nanak Dev Institute of Nursing Education and Research was started in the year 2004 which is offering ANM and GNM courses to the students.Before this, the event was started by lighting candles by prominent personalities, while after this releasing souvenirs were released and different personalities were awarded with mementos on behalf of the college management. 

The current students were inspired to achieve great success in the future by studying hard and diligently.In this ceremony, Bibi Parmeshwari Devi's wife of late Bhagwan Das Arora, Radhika Arora Chairperson, Advocate Ashok Bansal (Director), Dr. Ashwarya Sharma (Director), Sudha Sharma, Sabina Arora, Dr. Isaan Sharma, Dr. Parul Bansal, Akhil Bansal and Pranav Arora were also present. 

Principal of the college Dr. Sanjeev Jain and Vice Principal Dr. Virender Goyal motivated former and present students to serve the society. Meanwhile, the former principals and eminent alumni of the college were also felicitated. After the convocation ceremony, former college graduates between 1997 and 2023 celebrated the Alumni Meet.
