It is recently reported that the Ministry Of Home Affairs has given sanction to prosecute Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia under the Prevention Of Corruption Act, alleged in the ‘Feedback Unit’ snooping case.

Manish Sisodia took to his twitter and reacted to the prosecution by the Home Ministry, he said,  ‘Making false cases against your rivals is a sign of a weak and cowardly person. As the Aam Aadmi Party grows, many more cases will be filed against us.’

The CBI has brought snooping allegations against Manish Sisodia and claimed that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) formed a feedback unit for political intelligence gathering after coming to power in Delhi in 2015. Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Vinai Kumar Saxena has approved CBI’S request for prosecution sanction and directed the same to the Ministry Of Home Affairs. On 17 February 2023, Sisodia received the sanctioning letter of prosecution by MHA.

Manish Sisodia heads the Vigilance Department of Delhi government under which AAP created the Feedback Unit in 2015 to keep a check on corruption. It was created with an aim “to strengthen the vigilance establishment and gather feedback on the working of various government departments, autonomous bodies, or institutions."

After A complaint back in 2016, CBI found that rather than doing its assigned work, FBU was indulged in official communications and collected ‘political intelligence’ related to political activities, entities and issues of the persons.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari alleged Manish Sisodia and said he was ‘Caught spying.’ He alleged him of doing illegal snooping and said,  "A case will be registered against him. It is a worrying development. After spying, were they sharing this information with someone? This is a question of national security.”

AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak said, “This is a completely false case. These people are harassing the Aam Aadmi Party and Manish ji. They don’t investigate Adani who embezzled lakhs of crores. These people are after Manish ji. Now as AAP is their competitor, they are scared. Modi ji is afraid of only Kejriwal ji. Now let’s see how many more cases he will file. We know all of this is false and fake. Making false cases against your rivals is a sign of a coward. As the AAP grows, many more cases will be filed against us.”
