Today, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Mohali in association with House Owner's Welfare Society (Regd.), Phase 5, Mohali organised a Legal Awareness cum Free Medical Checkup Camp at Lok Sewa Kendar, Dharana Bhawan, Civil Dispensary, Phase 5, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali).  Tarntaran Singh Bindra, Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Mohali and Dr. Sukhwinder Singh MS (Eye), Patiala Hospital, Phase 9, Mohali jointly inaugurated the camp after Chief Guest Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, Member Parliament (Anandpur Sahib) addressed the gathering.  Prof. Chandumajra appreciated efforts being made by House Owner's Welfare Society and announced a grant of Rs.1 lakh to so that this society may fulfill its started work and services towards humanity.  

Tarntaran Singh Bindra, Chief Judicial Magistrate sensitised public about their legal rights.  He made public aware about all the schemes of Punjab Legal Services Authority and the means and ways to avail benefits thereof.  He further answered the queries of public to remove their doubts, at the spot.  Dr. Navtej Pal Singh, MS (Ortho), Dr. Kanwar Sidharath, MDS (Dental), Dr. Saran Gill Kanwar, MDS (Dental), Dr. Aman Navneet Kaur, MPT, Dr. Suman Kamboj, BPT (Physiotherapist) and Dr. Manohar Lal, MBBS medically examined the patients.  Dr. S.B. Lal, Pathologist performed free sugar tests of people.  Bone Density Test was also performed free of cost.  Free medicine to needy public was provided by Sh. G.S. Sachar and Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited.  Besides Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, Tarntaran Singh Bindra and Dr. Sukhwinder Singh, many other dignitaries namely Er. H.S. Jatana, Dr. Gurbakh Singh, Sukhminder Singh Barnala, Albel Singh Syan, P.D. Wadhwa, J.S. Sehmbi, S.S. Grewal, Kirat Singh, Mehtab Matwala, M.L. Wdhwa, Mukesh Bansal, H.S. Diwana and Shamsher Singh also attended the camp.  Organizers of the camp informed that near about 200 patients were provided medical aid in camp.  Most of them were aged persons and senior citizens.
