As announced by the makers, Kantara 2 being a prequel, it has filled the fans with excitement. There were rumours flowing of Urvashi Rautela joining the cast of Kanatara 2.
As reported by a source, all the rumours of Urvashi joining the cast of film Kantara 2 are groundless. It is clear that there is no such news of Urvashi being part of the film. As reported by the source, he revealed that, “All the rumours around Urvashi Rautela casting in Kantara 2 are totally baseless and untrue. Recently, Urvashi Rautela just happened to be on the same premises as Rishab Shetty, where she requested to meet the Kantara fame and he politely obliged. She posted the picture clicked with him with a cryptic caption, giving rise to these completely false rumours.”

These rumours are flawed because of the post that Urvashi shared on her IG account. On Saturday, she shared a picture with actor-director Rishab Shetty, captioning it as, "#KANTARA 2 @rishabshettyofficial @hombalefilms loading #RS."
This post made people believe of Urvashi Rautela being part of the film ‘Kantara 2’.
Few days back, Rishabh Shetty, the director of the film revealed some details about the movie and said that his upcoming film ‘Kantara 2’ will be a prequel to Kantara not a sequel. The story will revolve around the times many years back from the time that is shown in Kantara. He also said that the story will take place in the background of the deity. So the plot of the next part will be the events that took place many years ago from those shown in the first part. That is why it is said to be a prequel rather than a sequel.
On the work front, Urvashi will be next seen in director Boyapati Sreenu untitled film alongside Ram Pothineni. She will also play the role opposite Randeep Hooda in Inspector Avinash.
