Union Cabinet Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, said here today that the General Budget for the year 2023-24 in Lok Sabha by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is an embodiment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision towards progressive, development-oriented and giving new economic heights to the country and aid to India’s fast movement to restore its identity of Vishwa Guru.

He said that this budget is inclusive, all-encompassing and keeping in mind all sections of the society. It is truly a people-oriented budget.Addressing the press conference organized at the BJP State Office Kamalam here today, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that this budget is based on seven priorities like the Sapta Rishis in Amrit Kaal.

He said that in the last eight years, by taking decisions that strengthened India economically, this time the BJP government has opened a box of reliefs for every section of the country. It is the result of the visionary economic decisions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that today, from the poor to the middle class, they have all got the reliefs that were necessary for them.

He said that the budget is very progressive as well as inclusive and which has been appreciated not just all over the country but all over the world. This budget is highly growth oriented on the macro-economic front and heightened capital investment, will have a cascading beneficial effect on all sectors of the economy.

Special attention has been given to the empowerment of women, youth, SC/ST/OBC/disadvantaged areas by creating supporting infrastructure to facilitate their income through entrepreneurship for "self-reliance".

The budget also paves the way for expanding credit facilities to the agriculture sector and increasing capital outlays at both the central and state levels. The government has increased the allocated funds for the health and education sectors.

With regard to personal taxation, the finance minister has said that the earlier given ‘new tax scheme’ should now be treated as the default scheme and in this no tax will be applicable on income up to Rs 7 lakh. Basic tax slabs have also been revised giving relief to the taxpayers.

Exemption limit on leave encashment has been increased from Rs.3 lakh to Rs.25 lakh for non-government salaried employees. This huge jump will benefit a large number of retiring employees.

Under the spirit of "Minimum Government-Maximum Governance", 39 thousand provisions have been abolished and 3400 provisions have been decriminalised under Ease of Doing Business through digitization. The limit for depositing savings has been increased for senior citizens.

Today India has emerged as the fifth largest economy in the world. In the last 8 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the whole world is watching India's economic policy. This time's budget is going to take the economy forward rapidly.

A provision has been made to spend Rs 2 lakh 40 thousand crore on railways. An attempt has been made to speed up the development works by increasing the expenditure in every field.

Talking in the field of education, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the new education policy has been implemented. A provision of Rs 1 lakh 12 thousand crore has been made in the field of education with an increase of 12 percent.

The level of all school teachers and education will be augmented. District Institute of Education Training Centers will be made at every district level where teachers will be given high quality training.

After the press conference, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also addressed the enlightened citizens and workers of the city in the auditorium of the party office Kamalam. He explained in detail about the nuances of the budget and also discussed about the impact of this budget on the general public and the country's economy.

On this occasion, State President Arun Sood welcomed the Minister, and all the guests and workers. On this occasion, along with General Secretary Ramveer Bhatti, Chandrashekhar, Mayor Anoop Gupta, Program Coordinator Dr Dharinder Tayal and State Spokesperson Kailash Chand Jain, the city's enlightened citizens and BJP workers belonging to different sections of the city were present.
