As part of Road Safety Week, ARTO Reasi organised a debate competition on Road Safety Awareness at Presentation Convent High School, today. The participating students expressed concern over the increasing incidents of road accidents and stressed upon all stakeholders to follow traffic rules for safe driving on roads.
Participating students also stressed on the need not to drive a vehicle till one attains the age of 18 year. They also highlighted the need to spread the message of Road Safety among the families and public to make it a sustained campaign to avoid the loss of precious human lives due to road accidents.
The speakers called for wearing Helmets and Seat Belts while driving the vehicle on the road. ARTO, Rajesh Gupta called upon the school students to act as ambassadors of Road Safety by spreading the message among their near and dears.
On the occasion, an animated film on Road Safety was also screened by RTO Office Reasi to educate students about road safety. Prizes were also distributed among the participants, besides IEC material on traffic Rules and Safety measures was also distributed among the school students.
