Akshay Kumar with the director “Aanand L Rai” announced his upcoming movie ‘Gorkha' in October 2021 which is based on Major General Ian Cardozo, the war hero of the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army. Recently there is news flashing that Akshay walks out of Aanand L Rai’s film, Gorkha.

When Akshay shared the first look poster of ‘Gorkha’ on social media, then a retired army officer spotted some errors and tweeted on his post ''Dear @akshaykumar ji, as an ex Gorkha officer, my thanks to you for making this movie. However, details matter. Kindly get the Khukri right. The sharp edge is on the other side. It is not a sword. Khukri strikes from the inner side of the blade. Ref pic of Khukri att. Thanks.'' Responding to the same, Akshay tweeted, “Dear Maj Jolly, thank you so much for pointing this out. We’ll take utmost care while filming. I’m very proud and honoured to be making Gorkha. Any suggestions to get it closest to reality would be most appreciated."
Some veterans from the unit of Major General Cardozo had questioned his version of the events and Akshay respects the armed forces a lot, so he said he will not do anything which has doubts.

The director Aanand L Rai said, “There are so many technical things that we need to take care of before we do the film. We also need to work on the factual details of the film. So, it will need the time it deserves. We can’t rush it.” Rai also confirmed that the movie ‘Gorkha’ will be made and Akshay will be a part of it. Adding to this he said, “If we are doing the film then Akshay will be a part of the film. If not, we’ll work on something else.”
Now, all we have to wait is for Akshay Kumar’s official statement, what he says on this matter and whether he will do this movie or not. He has put the movie on hold and does not want to be a part of any story which has doubts.
