District Information Centre Rajouri in collaboration with the American India Foundation Trust organised a series of Nukkad Nataks at six different places to educate the public about the negative impacts of plastic on health and the environment as well as appropriate techniques for its management.

During the programs, the artists through their performance made the public aware about the negative impacts of plastic on human health and the environment as well as the significance of choosing eco-friendly alternatives to plastic.

The importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling plastic trash was emphasised to the participants, as these three concepts may help in the effective management of plastic waste. The participants were also told that changing behaviour requires raising knowledge about managing plastic waste and reducing the use of single-use plastics.

They were also made aware of the aim of the "Sushasan Saptah" (Good Governance Week) being observed in the district from December 19-25, 2022, as well as a number of activities being carried out in the district as part of this week to address genuine public concerns and improve service delivery.
