The District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee meeting was held today here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex Reasi to review the status of Aadhaar enrolment and further strengthen the ecosystem.

The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Abdul Star in presence of Sanjeev Mahajan, Director UIDAI Regional Office, Chandigarh. During the meeting, Aadhaar authentication and Aadhaar offline verification including use of QR code for Aadhaar verification were discussed in detail.

The ADC asked the stakeholders to motivate the residents of Reasi to enroll children below 5 years for Aadhaar and also to get Mandatory Bio-metric updates done (MBU) on attaining the age of 5 years and 15 years.

 Education and ICDS Departments were directed to hold camps for the purpose. The ADC further asked the concerned departments to organize Aadhaar camps in Hospitals and vaccination centers to enroll newborns.

He emphasized that the module is meant to give all readers a firm grounding on UIDAI and Aadhaar. The manual starts with the key concepts of identity related issues and a solution from the Government – named Aadhaar.

A major portion of this material revolves around goals and objectives of UIDAI. The next part of this manual covers the UIDAI Eco-System. Final part of this book deals with benefits of Aadhaar for All. 

The material also offers in-depth coverage of the issues related to uniqueness of one’s identity. Among others, PO ICDS Anwar Bandey, SDM Mahore Mazahir Hussain, CEO Sunita Bali, DMO Ashok Kumar, Dy.CMO, BDO’s, and other district officers were present.
