The District Statistics and Evaluation Department Anantnag and Kulgam in collaboration with Directorate of Census Operations today organised a one day training/workshop on implementation of ORGI software for civil registration system at Dak Bangalow, here.

The master trainers imparted training to the participants about the operational mechanism of civil registrations. Dr Junaid and Dr Imtiyaz explained the entire process to the concerned officers. They discussed 32 provisions of the RBD act with the attendees.

DD Planning/DSEO Anantnag, Karishma Kudrat highlighted the importance of the registration process. She said that both certificates are required in availing various Govt benefits and are important legal documents.

She said that training of officials responsible for issuing these documents is necessary for capacity building and to establish an error free simple mechanism so that the public can benefit and obtain these documents in a hassle free manner.

DD Planning/DSEO said the department is aiming at achieving complete saturation in registration of births and deaths and is confident that other departments will also cooperate in this endeavour. The training session was attended by CMO, BMOs, BDOs, EOs and other stakeholders.
