The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired the second meeting of District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) in which 21 cases for sanctioning of self-employment under Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) were  recommended.

At the outset, the committee interacted with aspiring entrepreneurs and apprised them about prospects, successful set up and operation of their ventures under the JKREGP. After discussing the pros and cons of all cases putup in the meeting, the committee selected 14 cases out of 21 recommended cases and it was unanimously decided that the approved cases shall be forwarded to concerned bank branches for timely disbursement.

The DC while interacting with the beneficiaries advised them to focus on their work and ensure they become successful entrepreneurs and create avenues of employment for not only themselves but also for others.

The DC urged upon DLTFC members to highlight the beneficial advantages of JKREGP scheme in eradicating unemployment issues in the district, besides ensure participation and involvement of all unemployed youth from grassroots level.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, Lead Bank Manager Ganderbal, Principal ITI, Director RSETI Ganderbal, Cluster Head J&K Bank Ganderbal, District Coordinator KVIB and other members.
