As part of Shehri Jan Abhiyaan under "My Town My Pride", Director Urban Local Bodies (ULB) Kashmir, Mathoora Masoom today visited Sumbal and attended Shehri Jan Abhiyan, there. The Director also attended various scheduled activities of Shehri Jan Abhiyan including sports activities.
She was accompanied by SDM Sumbal Dr. Bashir Lone, ULB representatives. MC Chairman Hajin and Sumbal and other concerned officers also were present on the occasion. Mathoora Masoom inspected various stalls of departments to inspect the services provided by them.
She also inaugurated a plantation drive within the premises of Dak Bunglow, Sumbal. The Director said an ambitious programme of MTMP will connect urban masses with the administration for effective public service delivery and prompt redressal of grievances.
She said that My Town My Pride is aimed to improve public service delivery and redress the public grievances within the shortest possible time and achieve cent percent saturation of beneficiary oriented schemes in the urban areas.
Besides the general public, students also participated in the programme. Throughout the district, an array of activities were held in the run to the ‘My Town My Pride’, phase second.
