The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today convened a meeting of officers in her office chamber to review the preparations for “My Town My Pride” (MTMP) programme in the district.

The meeting discussed threadbare various aspects of the programme especially the Shehri Jan Abhiyan and other related issues. It is worth mentioning here that for the Second Phase of My Town My Pride and Jan Abhiyan, the Government has identified the department-wise deliverables with the direction to submit daily progress reports to the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department for compilation of comprehensive report to be submitted to the Chief Secretary by January 15, 2023.

On the occasion, the DC took detailed review of deliverables and took feedback from the officers related to the Jan Abhiyan activities of MTMP. She asked Officers to gear up for the Jan Abhiyan activities of MTMP which includes conduct of sensitization and awareness camps from 28th Nov 2022 to 2nd December, 2022 in the district.

She also exhorted upon the officers to work enthusiastically so that the ambitious programme My Town My Pride could be made a grand success besides ensure achieving deliverables so that better results yield on ground.

Additional District Development Commissioner Aijaz Abdullah Saraf, Presidents of MC Sopore, Pattan, Kunzer and Uri, Joint Director Planning M Yousuf Rather, SDMs of Uri and Pattan, Executive officer of MCs and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
