Administration Organises Mini Marathon To Give Healthy Start To The Seventh Edition Of The Spark Mela

Led by SDM Jalandhar Balbir Raj, SDM Nakodar Randeep Singh Heer hundreds of students today pledged to make Jalandhar drug free district by participating in mini marathon to give a healthy start to the Spark career Guidance Mela being held on November 23-24.

Both the SDMs flagged off the mini marathon rally from the Guru Gobind Singh stadium. Hundreds of students participated in the Mini marathon to spread the message of drug free and healthy Jalandhar. 

The rally that commenced from Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, culminated at the same venue after passing through Guru Amar Dass Chowk, Shivani Park, Geeta Mandir, and Chunmun Chowk.

Meanwhile, the SDM said that in order to disseminate the message of healthiness to the masses especially the students, the district administration has organised the Spark-Career guidance mela by organizing a mini-marathon in the city. 

He said that the main aim of organizing the event was to disseminate the message of healthy and drug free Punjab. They said that the youth needs to be sensitized against the menace of drugs for which this mini-marathon would play a key role.The SDM further said that apart from grooming career of the students, the mela also aims at promoting good health of students. 

He said that the fest, to be held at the precincts of the Guru Gobind Stadium on november 23-24, would also ensure holistic development of the overall personality of the students, for which sporting, cultural and other events by the students have been carefully amalgamated in the program of this fest. They said that administration has already made elaborate arrangements to ensure that students do not face any sort of problem.
