Chiranjeevi was announced as the Indian Film Personality of the Year by the Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on Sunday. He has been awarded this prestigious award at the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) here. Megastar Chiranjeevi has spent Four decades of his career in Acting. He has acted in more than 150 movies and initially, he worked in Telugu Industry.

Before Megastar Chiranjeevi films fireballs like Waheeda Rahman, Rajinikanth, Ilaiyaraaja, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Amitabh Bachchan, Salim Khan, Biswajit Chatterjee, Hema Malini, and Prasoon Joshi have been honoured with this award in the past.

In 2006, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award, for his contributions to Indian cinema. The actor’s career always remained shining in these four decades, and now his movie with the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has come “GodFather” as the movie couldn’t earn so much profit, because of the film distributors and makes.
