The master of romance, prolific Punjabi film director Jagdeep Sidhu, has delivered many amazing and superhit films to cinephiles. The director, who has struggled a lot during his career, has garnered fame and recognition as the writer and director of the film ‘Qismat’. After that, he delighted fans with films like Sufna, Qismat 2, Lekh, Moh and many more.
Now, Jagdeep Sidhu has been widening his wings as he is all set to enter Bollywood. Yes, now fans of the commendable director can witness his work in Bollywood. The artist has written the film, and the announcement of the same has been shared through his Instagram account. The film, titled ‘Sri’ was directed by Tushar Hiranandani. It has been reported that Sri is a biopic of Srikanth Bholla, and the shooting of the same has already started. In addition, Jagdeep Sidhu previously collaborated with Tushar on the dialogues for the film Saand Ki Aankh.
When digging more about the project, it has been noted that, the upcoming film ‘Sri’ which has been written by none other than Jagdeep Sidhu, features Rajkumar Rao, Alaya F, Sharad Kelkar, and south Indian actor Jyothika in the lead roles. Further, if reports are to be believed, the story and theme are based on the life of industrialist Srikant Bholla, who didn’t let his visual impairment come in the way of his vision and founded Bollant Industries.
Meanwhile, the film is being backed by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar, and is likely to release under the banner of T Series. The release date of the film has not been announced, but it is expected to hit the big screen in 2023.
