Government Industrial Training Institute Samba, on Monday organised PM National Apprenticeship Mela 2022 as part of the Prime Minister`s Skill India Mission to boost career opportunities and practical training of the trainees.
The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta.The Superintendent ITI Er.Ajay Kumar welcomed the Participants and briefed about the objective of the programme.
He said the primary purpose of the Apprenticeship Mela was to provide additional opportunities to the local youth to register under the apprenticeship training and also encourage the industries to recruit more apprentices.
Deputy Commissioner Samba also interacted with youth and representatives from the industries and asked them to register under the apprenticeship training scheme and get the benefit of the same.She also appreciated the efforts of the Govt.ITI Samba for organizing the apprenticeship mela to educate and register the youth under the apprenticeship scheme.
Director, Skill Development Department Sudershan Kumar, also joined the apprenticeship mela virtually and interacted with youth and Industrial representatives. During the event more than 30 industrial establishments and 50 youth registered themselves.
The whole programme was organized by the staff and students of the ITI Samba.Later, certificates and mementos were awarded to the successful trainees of the Institute.
