Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Mr. Vishesh Sarangal has ordered the officials concerned to complete the work of "house hold survey" in the villages of the district under "Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana" on war footing to ensure the delivery of benefits of this welfare scheme to these villages.

During a meeting of various departmental officials at the District Administrative Complex here today, Mr Sarangal  took stock of the performance of the Health, Social Justice, Education, Rural Development and Panchayat Departments under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana.

He asked the officials of concerned departments to submit the detailed data regarding the 18 villages selected for the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana survey to the Social Justice Department, nodal department for the scheme,  within a week.

These villages are Nangal, Meht, Jagatpur Jatta, Chaheru, Khera, Hamira, Boot, Bhathe, Jamalpur, Khalwara, Sangatpur, Chak Hakim, Darvesh Pind, Madhopur, Latianwal, Amritpur, Kishan Singh Wala and Chakoki. It is worth mentioning here that under this scheme "house hold  survey" of 57 villages have to be conducted in the district, out of which 18 villages will be covered under the first phase.

Deputy Commissioner directed the officials of the Rural Development and Panchayat Department to submit the utilization certificates related to various development schemes on priority so that required funds can be released for the development works.On this occasion, SDM Kapurthala Mr. Lal Vishwas Bains and other officials of various departments were also present.
