A breaking news story has hit the headlines, it has been noted that Shiv Sena’s leader Sudhir Suri has been shot in Amritsar, Punjab. Shiv Sena leaders were protesting outside the temple, and the incident took place only at the spot.
The shooters who shot Suri have not been identified. He has been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
After being detained in July of this year on suspicion of using derogatory words about a certain community and arousing religious feelings, Suri made headlines.
He had shared a video on social media in which he and some of his friends are heard using derogatory language towards the neighbourhood.

Meanwhile, in the past two days, a Shiv Sena politician has been the target of a second attack. In the early hours of Thursday (November 3, 2022), two men riding bicycles were accused of opening fire close to Punjab Shiv Sena leader Ashwani Chopra's home in Grewal Colony on Tibba Road. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) installed outside a neighbouring house captured the attackers in action.
