In order to improve the transparency and effectiveness of the local body administration and make the services of Jammu Municipal Corporation more citizen centric a new initiative was launched today by Mayor JMC Rajinder Sharma in Councillor hall.
As per the press briefing by Mayor, all the controlling officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation from different sections have deputed their officers/officials for inspection of various development works activities going on in Jammu City.
The inspection and monitoring of various works activities would be held Ward wise and twice a week in proper co-ordination with Councilors of the respective wards. A comprehensive roster for all 75 wards of JMC has been framed by controlling officers and clubbed in a way that during inspections no field of works activities left as per direction of Mayor.
This new initiative will check the quality of services, and quick access to ground information which will further help with immediate redressal of grievances and within time limits for the same.Mayor while interacting with media persons today said that all Councilors have committed that they will work together for all round development of Jammu, keeping at bay the lines and difference if any.
Dy. Mayor B.S Bilawaria, Chairman of the Health & Sanitation Raj Kumar Tarkhan, Chairman of the Swacch Bharat Committee M.S Mankotia and Chairman of Social Justice Committee Ajay Gupta and Councilors of JMC appreciated the curiosity and strong urge of Mayor Rajinder Sharma for development in a transparent, neat & clean work culture.
Mayor also said that he will extend his full support for hard working and upright officers and shall reward them as well. The action shall follow against those who are divulging from the pledge of honesty and integrity taken a couple of days back in Conference Hall of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
A series of ventures not only to impart a much needed facelift to the Jammu but also to prove the fact that a good administrative set up is always humane, accommodative & citizen centric added Mayor.
