Ajay Bhatt, Hon'ble Minister of State for Defence visited the Guru Nanak Dev University to interact with NCC cadets of Guru Nanak Dev University and Amritsar Group in the Guru Granth Sahib Bahwan Auditorium of the University. A large number of NCC cadets and other officials participated.
Prof. S.S. Behl, Dean Academic Affairs welcomed Sh. Ajay Bhatt on reaching the campus. Lt. Dr. Anil Kumar, Associate NCC Officer from the University, Brig. Rohit Kumar, Grp. Cdr, Amritsar Group, and other senior officials were present.
Minister of State for Defence honored Prof. Behl on behlf of the University for valuable corporation in the field of NCC activities of the University. Since 2016 the University have conducted many events in the consecutive years i.e. Sharaddhanjali March, Marathon Run, Personality Development, National Unity Day, Motivational Seminar, Anti-Tabacco Drive, Nookad Natak, Disaster Management, Road Safety/Traffic Rules, Vigilance Awareness, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Tree Plantation, Environment Day, International Yoga Day, Marathon Run, Republic day, Blood Donation, Advance Leadership Camp, Ek Bharat Sareshath Bharat, Adventure Camp etc. All these events and camps have been widely appreciated.
Ajay Bhatt also honored Dr. Anil Kumar for his outstanding services in NCC like conduct of Ek Bharat Sareshath Bharat camp, Kargil Vijay Diwas at directorate level, promoting various government inititatives and other activities. Sh. Bhatt also honored other personialites on this occasion.
Ajay Bhatt while interacting with the cadets appreciated the commendable work & duty perform by NCC cadets especially by women cadets. He said that these cadets are future of the nation which needed to be facilitated with all amenities at State as well as National level. He expressed his happiness over the increased ratio of women cadets and scholars in the University campus.
Minister said that during their training, NCC cadets achieved valuable sense of discipline which resulted their great success in any discipline in life either they go for armed services, others services and business.
Brig. Rohit Kumar thanked Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor of the University for his continued support and providing excellent infrastructure for the conduct of the event
