A group of 40 students of Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian (Poonch) was today flagged off for a Geographical Tour to Kashmir Valley by Joint Director Education Rajouri Poonch, Mohammad Ashraf . The touring students include 21 Girls and 19 Boys belonging to far-flung border area Sawjian were sent to Kashmir Valley for Geographical exploration. 

It is a first of its kind tour organized by any school of District Poonch. Chief Education Officer, Bishmber Dass was also present on the occasion. He stressed upon the students to travel carefully and learn from this unique opportunity provided to them by the school.

Joint Director Education, while interacting with the students, asked them to focus on the geographical locations, flora fauna and water bodies to enhance their learning. He appreciated the efforts of Principal Anwar Khan for organizing this geographical tour for the students of this backward area .

The students are accompanied by Mohammad Arif Malik, Lecturer, Saleem Reshi and Jyoti Jamwal escort Teachers. Principal Anwar Khan informed that the students would visit Aharbal waterfall, Dal Lake, Wular Lake, Manasbal Lake, Dachigam National Park, Mughal Gardens and other places of Geographical relevance during the four day long tour.
