Awareness program on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) was today organized by the Social Welfare department Ganderbal in collaboration with Sahara Smile Foundation at Sadat Valley Education Institute Wakura.
The main aim of the programme was to sensitize and make aware the general masses about the importance of the Girl Child.On the occasion officials of the Social Welfare department highlighted the importance of girl child and made awareness of various schemes for the girls.
The members of Civil Society were urged to come forward and participate in such programmes to get themselves updated on the services available under these schemes and further spread of awareness in the public domain.
The programme was attended by PRI members of Wakura, senior citizens, women, students and officials of the Social Welfare Department Ganderbal.
