An awareness Camp cum Kisan Mela under Jan Abhiyan was organised in village Kheral, Kanthan & Dubri in Block Pouni, Arnas & Mahore respectively today by Agriculture and Allied Departments.Around 200 farmers participated during the programme at various locations of the District. 

The Jan Abhiyan programme was attended by DDC members, Sarpanches and Panches of the concerned area. Soil Health Cards were distributed among the farming community on this occasion.Chief Agriculture Officer, Reasi Harbans Singh guided the farmers for diversification in agriculture & adoption of integrated farming system. 

He also aware the farmers for cultivation of Spices, Mushroom Cultivation, Beekeeping and promotion of Lemongrass in the monkey menace affected areas. Stalls with Exhibits were also laid by Agriculture and Allied Departments. 

The District Agriculture Officer, Ravinder Kumar Tripathi, Nursery Registration Officer, (I/c. HDO Pouni), Rajinder Kumar Khajuria, Agriculture Extension Officer & concerned field staff were also present during awareness programme.
