Director Rural Development Department Jammu, Mohammad Mumtaz Ali, on second day of his visit to the Doda district, toured the Panchayat Pernote in Thathri Block and took stock of the developmental activities, achievements under Deliverables, besides listened to the issues of general public.
He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development Doda, Phulail Singh and other officers of the Department.The tour was conducted by Director as a part of Jan Abhyan which is a prelude to Back to Village phase-4.
During the tour, he reviewed the working of the Department at Panchayat Level and inspected various works executed under different schemes, besides assessing the progress of the deliverables assigned to the RDD.
Interacting with the general public, the Director informed them that the Back to Village program is a great opportunity for people living in the far off hilly areas to project their aspirations regarding development directly to the government.
He directed the RDD officials to achieve all the Deliverables well in time without any fail.Earlier, in the morning, the Director held a review meeting in the Panchayat Bhawan complex where in he reviewed the key indicators of the RDD and directed all the BDOs to ensure the achievement of targets by mobolising the field functionaries.
The programmes were also attended by the Block level officers and other sectoral officers of various departments, Sarpanches ,Panches and locals.
