GCW Udhampur NCC Unit conducts Poster Making Competition on Nasha Mukt Bharat

1 J&K Girls Battalion NCC, Srinagar, Government College for Women Udhampur, today organized Poster making competition on the theme ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ under the aegis of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the college campus.

As many as 15 students were selected for the competition. They actively participated and created colourful posters to spread awareness regarding the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign.The posters depicting consequences of substance consumption and drug abuse prevention were showcased beautifully by the students of the college.

Principal of the College, Dr. Monika Sharma applauded the endeavour to raise awareness about the menace of drugs. She added that for a brighter future of the country, it is imperative that the youth are motivated to adopt a healthy and positive outlook towards life, and those, who have strayed from their path need to be brought into the mainstream. 

She also applauded the I/c ANO, Shallu Jasrotia for holding the event.The posters were judged by a jury comprising Dr. Sushma  Choudhary HOD Dogri and  Rajeev Singh HOD Environmental Science.In the competition pertaining to the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign, 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were claimed by Saima Chandel of B.A. Sem 1, Alisha Bhat of B.A. Sem 3 and Manvi of B.Sc Sem, respectively.

Consolation prizes were given to Aastha and Tanya Anthal of B.A. Sem. 1 and Khushi Gupta of B.Sc. Sem 1.The event was coordinated by I/C ANO of the college  Shallu Jasrotia.
