Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rahul Pandey today reviewed the physical and financial progress of the development works taken up under Border Area Development Programme (BADP), Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) and Samridh Seema Yojana (SSY) at a meeting with concerned officers here in the DC Office complex.

The DC inquired about the physical status of the ongoing works, number of schemes completed and headways achieved in the current fiscal so far.The stakeholder departments viz Jal Shakti, Science & Technology, Irrigation, PWD, Rural Development, Social Welfare and other concerned officers were asked to clear the financial liabilities where sanction of funds is accorded to the concerned department/ executing agency.

While reviewing the works taken up under Aspirational blocks program, the DC laid stress on completion of the works before the onset of snow season in upper reaches of the Duggan and Duggain blocks.It was given out in the meeting that majority of the works including border roads, water supply schemes, irrigation improvement works, creating of health infra etc have been taken under BADP, ABDP and SSY to bring qualitative changes in the lives of border dwellers, besides laying focused attention on development of identified aspirational blocks.

The DC called upon the executing agencies to put in extra efforts to complete the projects taken up under BADP, ABDP and SSY within the given timeframe.CPO, XEN Jal Shakti, XEN PWD, XEN PDD, ACD, CEO, and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
