With an aim to provide awareness regarding operational KCC scheme, a daylong KCC camp was today organised by the Animal Husbandry Department at Sumbal, Bandipora.The camp under the Nationwide campaign was chaired by the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr Gh Ahmad Lone at Meeting Hall, LDO Office Sumbal.

The camp organized in collaboration with the Lead Bank Bandipora was attended by District Manager Lead Bank Shabir Ahmad, Livestock Development Officer Dr. Mohd Ashraf, Veterinary Surgeons, official from other departments besides the farmers.

17 Dairy KCC cases were sponsored on the spot through different banks to provide financial assistance to the farmers.CAHO Bandipora while addressing the farmers highlighted the purpose of KCC Scheme and its potential to usher in a new era for the farming community.

Livestock Development Officer Sumbal explained the process for applying and availing benefits from the scheme.The terms and conditions to be followed by the farmers under the scheme were  discussed in one to one manner with the farmers by the bank officials.

LDM Bandipora explained the technical requirements of the scheme to be followed for fully utilising its benefits.Later, an interactive session was held in which  farmers presented their questions which were replied and were encouraged to avail the benefits of the scheme.

Taking opportunity of the event, awareness regarding the recent outbreak of Lumpy Skin Disease and its possible prevention was also provided to the farmers.
