DEO Kupwara reviews progress under SSR 2022

Directs to speed up enrolment process of targeted voters

District Election Officer (DEO) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray today convened a meeting of all concerned officers to review the progress under Special Summary Revision (SSR), 2022.

Addressing the meeting, the DEO stressed upon the concerned  Electoral Registration Officers(EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs)and other concerned to gear up their efforts for fulfillment of the targets within the given time frame.

The DEO expressed his dismay over the non-serious approach of some officers towards their duties and warned them of stern action if any laxity is shown in completion of the targets under the Special Summary Revision process within the stipulated time frame.

He stressed upon them to speed up the process of enrolment of the targeted voters and ensure that no voter is left unregistered in the district.The DEO also appreciated some AEROs for their better performance under SSR of their respective jurisdictions.

It was given out in the meeting that the next review of the progress shall be taken on Oct 09, 2022.Among others, ADC Handwara, ADC Kupwara, DDEO, SDM Lolab, SDM Karnah and other concerned were present.
