The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of Officers to review the functioning of Mission Vatsalya (ICPS) in the district.At the outset, DCPO Snobar Altaf briefed the meeting regarding work done by DCPU, CWC and JJB. 

She informed the chair that four abandoned neonates have been rescued by the DCPU/CWC.She also added that 59 children were sponsored under ICPS who are receiving an amount Rs 2000 per month.The chair was also informed that 266 cases were disposed-off by the Juvenile Justice Board.

The DCPO also apprised the chair that there are 02 child care institutions in the district.The chair was also informed that several awareness camps were organized to sensitize people about child rights and JJ Act.

DC exhorted upon all the concerned to work with zeal, dedication and close coordination for the betterment of the children.The meeting was attended by ADC, JD-Planning, ACR, CMO, ALC, DSWO, CEO, DSP Hq, Tehsildars and other officers.
