A meeting was held to discuss the issue of stubble burning and the pollution caused thereof under chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur.Presiding over the meeting the Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur Amrit Singh I.A.S issued strict warning to the persons violating the directions issued by the Government regarding stubble burning.
In the meeting, directions were issued to the SDMs that being the nodal officer of the sub divisions it shall be their primary duty to keep the incidents of stubble burning in-check. The SDMs were ordered to lodge FIR as well as make RED entry into the record of the violators, she also directed ADC (G) not to issue weapon license to the person violating the order of the government regarding the stubble burning and also get the weapon licenses of the violator cancelled in case of report by SDMs.
Deputy Commissioner directed ADC (D) to oversee proper coordination between Agriculture Department, Department of cooperative societies and Department of revenue to curb the incident of stubble burning.Directions were issued to SSP, Ferozepur to take strict action against the violator according to law and as per orders issued by the District Magistrate.
