On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, ADC Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat today convened a meeting of District Environment Committee to review the District Environment Plan.The meeting held threadbare discussion regarding the thematic areas under the District Environment Plan including Waste Management Plan, Water Quality Management Plan, Domestic Sewage Management, Industrial Waste Water Management, Air Quality Management, Mining Activity Management and Noise Pollution Management plans.
On the occasion, the ADC directed the officers for submission of different plans under their respective jurisdictions for proper implementation.He also designated PCB Officer as Nodal Officer for Plan Management.Among others, ACP Kupwara, DFO Kehmil, District Mineral Officer, EO Municipalities attended the meeting.
