Member Parliament Rajya Sabha from Punjab Sanjeev Arora, on Friday, called on Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi.Arora termed this meeting as a “courtesy call”. During his meeting, he congratulated Smt. Droupadi Murmu on being elected as President of India.
He also briefed President about himself, his work and social and other activities, and discussed some current issues. He laid stress that the country needs some immediate reforms as far as health sector is concerned. He pointed out that there is a dire need to make affordable healthcare available for every Indian, especially for the indoor patients in the hospitals.
He also discussed about the rising dreaded diseases such as Cancer across the country. He also briefed Hon’ble President about a charitable trust named “Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust” being run by him. This Trust is named after his parents and it has provided free treatment to around 170 cancer patients.
Shri Arora remarked, “The Hon’ble President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu is a pleasant and down-to-earth personality from humble back ground." She has reached to the highest position possible in our country through her struggle in personal and public life.
