Ayushmann Khurrana, who has always been known for doing conventional films, is all set to entertain his fans once again. Yes, Ayuhsmnann will soon be hitting the theatres with his most loved film. Titled Dream Girl 2, the film has been the sequel to Dream Girl. In sharing the announcement, he has not only brought the character of Pooja back but also amused his fans with a quirky video.
Speaking of Dream Girl 2, Ananya Panday has taken Nushrratt Bharuccha's role in the sequel. Manjot Singh, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Banerjee, Annu Kapoor, and the rest of the original cast are all back for this one. Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Seema Pahwa, and Paresh Rawal make up the new cast. Raaj Shaandilya wrote and directed Dream Girl 2.

In the clip, a person says, “Bollywood ko nazar lag gyi hai.” (Bollywood has got evil's eye). To which Ayushmann replied, “Haan bhai, DVD pe chala raha hoon fir bhi nhi chal rahi, isliye Mathura aaya hoon.” (Yes brother, that is why I am playing a movie on DVD and it is still not working, hence I came to Mathura.) The new and old cast members are introduced as Ayushmann gets into his Dream Girl character.
The film will be in a clash with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s starrer Tiger 3. It means that the film is slated for release on June 29, 2023, as an Eid special.
Meanwhile, Dream Girl, one of the most popular rom-com movies of 2019, was a joyride for the audience. The Ayushmann Khurrana-starring film was one of the highest-grossing movies of that year and enjoyed tremendous success at the box office. Ayushmann has now officially put an end to all the rumours by confirming the second half of the movie and its release date after social media was ablaze with rumours regarding a second instalment.
The upcoming sequel will be produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor and will be released under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures.
