Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur, Lal Chand today conducted an extensive tour of Block Chanunta and kick started several development works there.The DDC Chairperson was accompanied by District Development Councilor Ramnagar-II, Jattu Ram, Chairman Block Development Council Ramnagar, Des Raj and Sarpanches and Panches of Block Chanunta.
The Chairperson laid the foundation stone for the construction 1 KM road from Malethan Lair to upper Chanunta via Mulaniya Theru in presence of District Development Councilor Ramnagar-II, Chairperson Block Development Council Ramnagar, Sub Divisional Magistrate Ramnagar, and officers of PWD Department.
The one KM NABARD funded road is being constructed at an allotted cost of Rs. 2.21crore by the Public Works Department.DDC Ramnagar-II Jattu Ram, congratulated the public of Chanunta and thanked Chairperson District Development Councilor Udhampur Lal Chand for pacing up the developmental activities in District Udhampur.
While speaking on the occasion, Chairperson DDC, while congratulating the local public, said that unprecedented developmental activities were being carried out in Block Chanunta. He thanked Prime Minister Narendera Modi and MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh for pacing up development in District Udhampur, particularly in Rural areas.
He further urged upon the PRI Members and Members of District Development Council to work in coordination to pace up developmental activities for the betterment of general public.Later, the Chairperson DDC Udhampur took Block level review meeting of Education Department, Revenue Department, Rural Development Department, Jal Shakti Department, PDD Department.
Sarpanches/Panches/General public of Block Chanunta put forward several issues related to these departments. The Chairperson directed the concerned officers to solve the issues as soon as possible.The Chairperson DDC urged upon the officers to work with zeal and sincerity to benefit the population of rural areas.
He further conveyed to the public/PRIs present in the meeting that the District Development Council Udhampur is working with full transparency and is fully committed to work for the public of District Udhampur.
