Scores of students from various government schools from all ten districts of Kashmir division took part in a seminar and an exhibition organized under Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics, and Environment Exhibition (JNNSMEE) on Saturday in the sprawling auditorium of State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT), Bemina.

The exhibition, which was attended by numerous experts in the field and representative of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Dr. C.V. Shimray.JNNSMEE which is being held across the nation, is a platform for kids to demonstrate their aptitude in science and math as well as how they have applied these subjects to many aspects of daily life.

The experts selected three top models besides three best student speakers who delivered mind storming speeches on diverse topics related to Science, Math and Environment. An SCERT official stated that the models would go through more reviews and enhancements before possibly being displayed at the national level.

While appreciating the young students, Dr. Shimray stated that their active participation abundantly demonstrated the scientific temperament we wish to foster in children. "The fact that the pupils are now thinking creatively and beyond the box is more significant and encouraging,” she said. “It's important to support this since it will eventually result in something real.”

According to Dr. Shimray, the aim of her visit is to acquire a sense of the situation on ground, to hear directly about the difficulties that the students face and to offer support for their initiatives.Later, appreciation certificates were awarded to the exemplary students.
