He fought elections from Paragpur constituency and after delimitation his constituency is now dehra.
He started his political career in 1972.Yog Raj said that i Joined BJP because of the strong leadership of Prime minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda and Chief minister Jairam Thakur.
