Principal Secretary, ARI & Trainings (ARIT) Department, Ashok Parmar who is also District Prabhari of Rajouri today visited the area and took a comprehensive review of the developmental scenario of the district in a meeting here.

DDC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal; ADDC, Pawan Kumar; DFO Nowshera, Neelima; PO ICDS, Showket Mehmood Malik; ACD, Vijay Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; SE JPDCL, Roshan Lal; PO IWMP, Sheraz Chowhan; ; GM DIC, Ashwini Sharma and other concerned officers attended the meeting.

Speaking during the meeting, the Principal Secretary asked the officers to make dedicated efforts to provide prompt and quality services to the general public and also take effective measures to redress their genuine grievances timely to mitigate their sufferings.

While stressing on the better implementation of the welfare schemes and programs on ground in district, the Principal Secretary directed the concerned officers to educate the public about scores of welfare initiatives and ensure that maximum beneficiaries are covered under the schemes.

Stating that Rajouri has a huge potential in tourism sector, he asked the concerned officers to make dedicated efforts to tap that potential to raise the socio-economic status of the district. 

He also directed the officers to highlight the achievements of their sectors through IEC activities for the information of general public.The officers were also directed to personally visit all the works of their departments and regularly review the progress for the expeditious completion of works.

During the meeting, the DDC briefed the meeting in detail about the physical and financial progress achieved in various schemes and programs being implemented by different departments in the district.

While reviewing the sector wise physical progress under District Capex Budget 2022-23, the meeting was informed that out of 4523 works, 103 works have been completed.Discussing the progress made under PWD(R&B) sector, it was informed that under CRF out of six Schemes, the work on one scheme is complete and rest are under execution.

Taking stock of the progress under NABARD, it was apprised that out of 49 schemes, the work on 25 schemes is complete.While reviewing the performance of the PMGSY sector in Rajouri subdivision, the meeting was informed that out of 195 schemes, 173 have been completed while in Budhal subdivision, the work on 105 schemes out of 124 schemes is complete.

Discussing the progress of the power sector, the Principal Secretary took a detailed stock of the progress under IPDS, DDUY, PMDP-U and PMDP-R. The Principal Secretary asked the concerned officer to ensure that power supply is provided to the general public while strictly adhering to curtailment schedules.

Regarding PMAY-G, it was apprised that against the target of constructing 30661 houses, the work on 17089 is complete.While reviewing the progress under Jal Jeevan Mission, it was informed that 293 schemes have been approved at an estimated cost of Rs 1942.80 crore for the district.

Taking note of the allotment of tenders, the Principal Secretary asked the concerned officers to immediately allot the tenders for JJM projects and ensure that all the projects are completed timely for larger public interest.
