Under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsov’ and to give boost to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the DDC Chairperson Mohd Yousuf Gorsi; MC President, Hilal Ahmad Shah; DDC Anantnag Dr. Piyush Singla; SSP Ashish Mishra today jointly hoisted and unfurled the National flag in DC office premises, here.
President MC Anantnag, Hilal Ahmad Shah, ACR, ACD, and other district officers were present also.It is pertinent to mention here that a Mega Tiranga of 75 feet high was hoisted on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Singla said that this day shall stand as of historic importance as the whole nation is hoisting the Trianga on their homes. He also congratulated people on the eve of Independence Day.
DDC Chairman, also spoke on the occasion and said that he feels very proud and happy while hoisting the National Flag and impressed upon the people to inculcate the values of nationalism and patriotism among the new generations.
SSP spoke on the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and importance of National Symbols. President MC Anantnag also shared his views.Significance of the National Flag was also highlighted by the speakers.
