The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today flagged-off ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally of Specially-abled persons from Railway Station Budgam to New Bus Stand here.‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally was organized by the Social Welfare Department Budgam and almost seventy persons participated in the event.

The participants were overwhelmed during the event and said that, “these kinds of rallies bring out that we are no less than others in participating in this national event of Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign”.They added “To be part of this rally makes us feel proud that we belong to such a democratic country wherein flags are unfurled by us despite our physical challenges”.

Besides, ADDC Budgam, Executive Director Rehabilitation Council, DSWO Budgam were also present.Meanwhile, Tiranga rallies and other related programmes in good numbers were also held at different schools and locations in Budgam.

Marking the 75 years of Independence, students created beautiful human formations at Beheshte Zahra Park.Selfie points and flag posts were established in each Municipal Committee area, while thousands of tricolours were also installed at shop fronts and other commercials in the District.
