Floriculture Department Gardeners take out Tringa Rally in Jammu

To sensitise people about the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the Department of Floriculture, Parks & Gardens Jammu today organized a Tiranga rally in Green Belt Park.More than 100 Gardeners participated in the rally along with officials and officers of the Department.

The rally was organised under the supervision of Director, Floriculture, Parks & Gardens S. Jatinder Singh. Deputy Director,  Sunil Singh, Floriculture Officer, Vikrant Sharma, Floriculture Officer HQ, Ishtiaq Ahmad Malik, Assistant Floriculture Officers, Atul Sharma & Purnima Bajala were also present in the Tiranga Rally.

Speaking on the occasion, S. Jatinder Singh said the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is being organised under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tricolour home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of our Independence. He urged all the participants to follow Flag Code of India and hoist the National Flag in accordance with dignity and honour. The participants chanted Bharat Mata Ki Jai &Vande Mataram in one voice.

Meanwhile, in continuation to series of plantation drives, a series of plantation/cleanness drives were conducted in Government Higher Secondary School, Bazar Qasaban, HSS Akhnoor, and HSS Gharote in presence of Satinder Kaur Principal, GHSS Bazar Qasaban, Aneeta Koul, HSS Akhnoor an Deepak Kapoor, HSS Gharote, officers of the Department and students of the schools.
