Har Ghar Tiranga: District level mass National Anthem singing event held at Ganderbal

As part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign of government being celebrated under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the District Administration Ganderbal in collaboration with Department of Education organized District Level Mass National Anthem Singing event at Qamaria Ground, here.

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal, Shyambir was the chief guest, while President Municipal Council Ganderbal, Hilal Ahmad was the guest of honor on the occasion.Around 1600 students from different zones of district accompanied by the escort teachers participated in the event. 

The participants enthralled the audience with their melodious rendition of the National Anthem. Besides, culture events and patriotic songs were also presented by the students.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the purpose of organizing mass National Anthem event is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and encourage them to play a significant role in contributing to the nation.

He urged all to actively participate in ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and said various activities including Painting competitions, rallies, Debates besides preparation for upcoming Independence day are also in full swing.On the occasion, the history, journey of the evolution of the Indian National Flag and when it was adopted in its present form was also displayed.

Dy Chief Education Officer, Nazir Ahmad said that the education department has been organizing a series of activities like singing patriotic songs, Debates and Essay writing competitions at school level, zone level and at district level.The event was also witnessed by ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CPO, Dy CEO besides DDC members, PRIs and other district officers.
