On Monday, the official trailer for the second season of the Netflix drama Delhi Crime hit the light of the day. Shefali Shah reprises her role as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi in the almost two-minute film, and she and her Delhi Police team are pursuing a group that is responsible for a string of horrible killings.
In spite of having a significant lack of personnel, Vartika and her squad are pursuing the murderers in the trailer. Vartika wonders why the police, who are supposed to be able to minimise crime in the city, can't seem to find a solution to the issue. The notorious kachcha-banian gang, which operated in several regions of North India, appears to be the main topic of discussion.
The show also features Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, Rasika Dugal, and Gopal Datt in addition to Shefali. The show's first season was based on the Delhi Police's investigation into the gang rape that occurred there in 2012. The first Indian online series to receive an international Emmy Award is Delhi Crime. Speaking of the upcoming crime-thriller, it will be out on August 26.
It has been said that this season investigates the moral code of the Delhi Police. DCP Vartika Chaturvedi and the team have evolved from the previous season. We’ll see them weigh a lot of difficult choices-be procedural or emotional.

On the upcoming crime series, Shefali Shah says, “I love every character I’ve played but DCP Vartika Chaturvedi will always be super special. And I’m so proud of the role and Delhi Crime as a show. It’s my favorite. And so is she. As an actor, it’s fulfilling to portray roles like these. This season, the audience will see a human and vulnerable side of these seasoned police officers. I can proudly say this, Delhi Crime is a reflection of our passion for storytelling and the craft and we can’t wait for the audience to watch it.”
