Finally, the shoot of the much-anticipated film by Vicky Kaushal started. It was announced on Monday that the team has started filming for the upcoming biopic. One of India's greatest military heroes, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, is the subject of the movie, which is based on his life. When India and Pakistan battled in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, he served as the head of the Indian Army.
Speaking of the characters, Vicky Kaushal plays the title character in the biographical film, and Sanya Malhotra plays Manekshaw's wife, Silloo. Fatima Sana Shaikh portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Meghna praised the Indian army for their unwavering support while beginning to film Sam Bahadur and shared it with her followers on Instagram.

While sharing the behind-the-scene and prep video, she wrote, “Only Gratitude as we set out on this extremely special Journey…#SamBahadur now filming. We are thankful for your continued support @indianarmy.adgpi @indianairforce @indiannavy @jehanmanekshaw @bottlesidlemind and the Manekshaw family @vickykaushal09 @fatimasanashaikh @sanyamalhotra_.”
Following the promo's lead, it provided a few peeks of the entire cast and crew during rehearsal and idea-generating sessions. They also joyfully entered the shooting location when the camera started rolling. In the end, the clapboard from the 77th scene is finally seen. In the trailer, Vicky as Sam Bahadur, Sanya as Siloo, and Fatima as Indira Gandhi all had fantastic looks!
Speaking of the film, the upcoming biopic of Sam Bahadur is being directed by Meghana Gulzar and is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the RSVP Movies banner.
